It’s Sunday, my friends.
Most of the time, I think we all feel like lounging more on a Sunday morning, doing much less, on Sundays. Coffee especially sounds really nice over a quiet time for reading a good book. For me, Sundays, mean a time for rest, a little perhaps of study if applicable, and it is definitely, a time for family to bond with each other, and eat together in one table.
Sundays, I believe is a special day from a week mentioned in the Holy Bible, from Holy Scripture. For the Lord, our God rested on the 7th day. And He made it holy. I think Sundays are also called Sabbath day. Which for me, I think means, a day of rest. For the other days of week, we can do work and whatnot. However, on Sunday — we rest, and we reconnect with God. We spend special time with and for family, or, maybe for some, with a few good friends.
I’m a Roman Catholic Christian, and on Sundays, we are obligated to hear and actively to participate in Holy Mass. For me, before, when I was much younger I didn’t understand what it was for, or the importance of Holy Mass eluded me. However, thanks to God, and to other people, I have come to learn and realize that Holy Mass is of utmost importance. It is a time when we partake of the Holy Bread of God, the Lamb of God, Who is being offered up from Calvary, unhindered of the barrier of time, for us and for all our sins. Our redemption as humanity, from our own darkness.
Our Lord Jesus, the Christ — is the true Light of our World. He is also our Good Shepherd. The One who lays down His life for us, that we may live. That we may be saved from ourselves.
With our outlook as Christians, with the teachings of our Lord Jesus, and for nurturing what God planted in us. We also must look to our families. To nurture and care for our relationships within the family (and as much as possible, for those relationships or friendships outside of the family also). We are called to become good friends and family.
My friends, if you are able to — please eat breakfast or lunch, perhaps dinner with your siblings, with your kids, with your parents, or with you relatives or with very good friends. Break bread together, and reconnect. Especially also, find time to hear, listen to, and actively participate and assist in Holy Mass.
Please listen to the 1st and 2nd readings, to the Holy Gospel, to the ordained priests of God, who celebrate Holy Mass. Let us listen to our priests admonitions and reminders. Let us encourage each other to receive Holy Communion, when we are able. And if we are free from the guilt of any mortal sin. If we have that guilt of mortal sin, please I implore you to seek forgiveness from God, seek reconciliation with God, first and if possible with your brothers or sisters. Go to confession. And receive absolution from an ordained priest. And only then, after receive communion after each Mass.
From my end, I believe this brings us to the end of this post.
Salamat po! Thank you.
And may you have a good and meaningful Sunday with your friends, and family.
May God continue to bless us all.
Peace.
Hello there! How are you? My name is Abraham, or, Abe to all my friends, acquaintances, and family.
I’m a young dad, an uncle, an older kuya, and a son. I love learning and putting things together when it comes to small projects around computers, and tech. And for me, I also love food, everyday drink — like coffee, and most furry creatures — like good doggo doggos (goofy doggos), and chonky (very fat, almost circular and literally round) cattos. ^_^ Anyway, I hope good animals also make you chuckle, my friends.
Recently, I was hired to work as an engineer in I.T., specializing in looking after web-servers, maintenance, and a few other stuff.
Thank God! From my end, I had been dreaming to become an engineer in I.T., and have been studying for it for a time now.
We mustn’t stop with our training and study. For we’ll need to keep learning in order for us to remain helpful.
Nawa, ang Panginoon’g Diyos ang Siyang purihin, dakilain, at pasalamatan sa ating mga gawain, at salita.
My friends, may the Lord our God be glorified, honored, and praised – through the kind of work that He called us unto.
Thank you, and for now, that’s mostly it for me. Salamat po!
